About Dr. Bohman

Van Reid Bohman, MD, FACOG, is an award-winning clinician and researcher who offers expert perinatal services to women at the offices of Desert Perinatal Associates with locations in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. He is the Department Chair in Maternal Child Services at St. Rose Dominican, Siena Campus.

When Dr. Bohman did his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, the program delivered more babies than any other program in the United States. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern.

He has presented and published papers on infectious diseases, metabolic disorders, and substance abuse. A recent study completed by Dr. Bohman showed that support of the posterior pelvic floor can markedly decrease cesarean section rates.

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine, he is licensed to practice in both Nevada and Texas. Dr. Bohman has delivered hundreds of multifetal pregnancies, including the longest-carried sextuplets ever in the US. He has a compassionate and warm bedside manner, developing a friendly relationship with his patients.

Dr. Bohman is married with six children and eight grandchildren. He loves being outdoors and is active with his church.
